huh, story of our lives...

we live, we see the wreck coming towards us, we watch, and just before it hits, it stops. We're still alive.

Are the ones who were collateral damage the lucky ones? Or us?

btw, that dead puppy, i've seen the real version somewhere....in addition to it being whole.

Peda responds:

good to see you found the puppy- of course it was whole- it was sleeping.
nice philosophy-not what i was going for. The fact he' fine after the plane crash isnt the full story; hes been through so much crap for a normal day, he just leaves without helping or worrying too much (possibly desensitised) too bad you didnt like the movie.

Shoulda followed my better judgement....

i knew this thing was made in 3 hours and i shoulda listened to my instincts cuz it was a waste of my time. shortness doesn't necessarily matter and graphics in itself were pretty good, however plot was null, violence high, and sound pretty much non-existent. and if humor was supposedly emminent, i see none.

Nairo responds:

STFU BITCH!

Reminds me of the "Giving Tree"

but different. your vision of the overall result could have been clearer and thus more explainatory through the animated representation as well as having a somewhat better ending. Music was ok, but nothing more and possibly less. the song itself may have been a good choice but the quality and that one wierd section of someone whistling? could have been cut out and edited to be more clear. It may have been a somewhat interesting idea on paper or perhaps not all that interesting but in anycase, it could have been better.

TheHumanFly responds:

To be honest with you, I didn't quite understand all that you've said. In any case I do agree there're a few things I'd like to improve but this was only an excercise created in a few days. Thank you for your comments anyway.

ahh, so sad.

I really like the aura the animation has...ok i'm a sad sap, sue me. anywho, it's graphics are clear and although at times seems a little immature in its simplicity i like and appreciate how the animator's philosophy and thoughts are conveyed throughout the animation. Music was awesome, I love this kinda shyt~! Where can i get it? I tried the link but i couldn't find it, although now i have a new site to dl music. Besides that, the violence is there but it's not pointless and mindless gore, rather it's an appreciated pity of lives stolen before their time and instills a melancholy (which i very much appreciate, thank you) in the viewer. those men died bravely, however futily. I await to see more of your future animations as powerful as this and your other animations such as "For what it's worth." Ahh, another sad one.

Matt-Merrill responds:

oh yeah... I made this quite a while ago so the music link is probably no good anymore, but the song should still be at ocremix.org under final fantasy 3... or 6. It's called "Death on the Snowfield" Anyway, I'm glad you liked the movie. I don't expect most people to enjoy this just because it's my first flash and the idea was good but the execution was not so much just because I had very little experience. but still, thank you for seeing past that and still appreciating the movie.

lol

so i'm supposed to get my tongue stuck to the back to a speeding ice cream truck, oh joy.

it's freakin wierd but cute all the same.

ZekeySpaceyLizard responds:

woo

Wholly disturbing.

A look into the mind of a homicidal/schizophrenic patient? Or the twisted thoughts of imagination of two animators.

Good graphics, style is imminent throughout the animation. Music sucks but idealy portrays the happy-go-lucky world. I did find a small amount of humor in the way that the victim of the mace to the face had his hand up, other than that....yeesh.

ZekeySpaceyLizard responds:

:>

Nicely done.

graphics are a little....ehh, but your style can be seen not in the animation but rather your storyline, however short it was. I found it pretty cute and clever in some ways in which you combined several board ways. What really appealed to me about this movie was your train of thought that could be seen throught.

I have to agree with the reviewer who mentioned about the girl in the ocean, fully dressed and the shark (odd looking one, ain't it?) but overall, I think you did pretty well. Hope to see more with your chains of thought and improved graphics and plot.

SolidSacketh responds:

Yeah...I guess it's some strange thoughts huh? But have u seen, say, Kitten Apocalypse, or any of that crazy shit?! Haha. Well, I just set out to create a badass skating hero who saves the day and has fun doing tricks along the way. Like I said, chicks are weird. Thats why she was like that...Sorry thats my best explanion

Eww... next time, give a better warning.

Dude, that was NOT Mild violence. Nasty. Least you showed your own style.

halfdemon1 responds:

There is some gore, but its not in excessive amounts, so I put mild violence.

Life fucking sucks but it's the only we chance we have to make it not suck...as much.
